What data we process, whose it is and how long we keep it.

No accounts, no sign-up
XcanMe has no users. We do not ask for a name or a password, and we do not create a profile of you. To use it you only need to name the X account you want analysed and pay.
Your data, as a customer
- The account you analyse. It is stored with the result, which stays reachable at its link so that viewing it again does not charge you again.
- Your IP address, temporarily, to limit how many analyses can be started per minute. Every analysis costs us money and without that limit anyone could drain it.
- Your email, briefly. Payment is processed by Polar asmerchant of record. We never see or store your card details. Polar tells us the address you paid with; we keep it only until your analysis is ready, send you one email with the link, and delete it.
Third-party data: the people who follow you
To analyse an audience we process data about people who are not our customers and who have not given us their consent. These are public X profiles, from which we read the fields the platform itself publishes: username, display name, photo, bio and follower count.
That data is used for one thing only: inferring what that person does and adding them to a count. The bio is sent to a language model that extracts facts from it; the result is stored so that the same bio is never paid for twice.
The legal basis applied is legitimate interest over information already published. Anyone who appears in an analysis can opt out by giving their handle, with no need to justify the request and with immediate effect on every analysis. Result pages are not indexed by search engines.
How long
Analysis results are kept indefinitely: the result was paid for by a customer and deleting it would mean charging them again for the same query. Bio classifications are kept for the same cost reason. Per-IP limit counters are temporary.
Who we work with
- Cloudflare — hosting and storage.
- twitterapi.io — where public profiles come from.
- Google (Gemini) — bio classification.
- Polar — payments, invoicing and taxes.
We do not sell data to anyone, nor hand it over for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of the data we hold about you, whether you appear as a customer or inside somebody else's analysis. Write to support@xcanme.com and we reply within five working days.
